Computer is a programmable machine that receives, inputs, and manipulates data,and provides output in useful format.
There are several parts of the computer , These are the following:
Monitor- It is called as visual display unit.It is an electronic visual display for units.The monitor comprises the display device ,circuitry and an enclosure.The display device in modern monitors is typically a liquid crystal display(LCD) ,cathode ray tube( CRT).
CPU- Central Processing Unit is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program ,and is the primary element carrying out the computer functions.
Mouse- is a pointing device by detecting two dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface.Mouse consists of an object held by under one's of the user's ,with one or more buttons. It has wheels under it.
Keyboard - is an input device,partially modeled after the typewriter keyboard, which uses of buttons or keys, to act as mechanical levers or electronic switches. After punch cards and paper tape , interaction via telestyle keyboards became main input device for computers.
Speaker - are also called as phone connector.They often have a low power internal amplifier.The standard audio connection is a 3.175 / 1/8 inch stereo jack plug often colour coded lime green.A plug and socket for a two wire coaxial cable that is widely used to connect dialog audio and video components .
Modem - is a device that modulates an analog carrier signal to encode digital information, and also digital information, and also demodulates such as a carrier signal to decode the transmitted information.The goal is to produce a signal that can be transmitted easily and decoded to reproduce the original digital data.
System Unit - Also known as base unit. It is the main body of a desktop computer ,typically consisting of a plastic enclosure containing the motherboard, power supply, cooling fans,internal disk drives and the memory modules and expansion cards that are plugged into the motherboard , such as video and network cards.
Printer- is a peripheral which produces a hard copy of documents stored in a electric form, usually on physical print media such as paper or transparencies.
